1. What majors are available?
K-State offers more than 250 majors and options.

2. Does K-State offer any minors?
K-State offers more than 50 different minors. Minors include foreign languages (such as Spanish or French), business, theatre, history, women’s studies, geology, philosophy and more. You can add a minor after you have begun attending classes.

3. What if I don’t know what to major in?
Don’t worry if you don’t know what your major will be yet. Many incoming students don’t. Consider declaring yourself open option. This program helps you explore different subjects and make the decision later.

4. Will I have to take any foreign language classes while at K-State?
Foreign language requirements depend on which major you choose. Example: If you are an English major, you will be required to take a foreign language. If you’re an engineering major, you won’t have a foreign language requirement. In general, a student pursuing a B.A. degree will have to take a language.
5. Which computer should I buy for my major?
Your computer needs will depend on what you major in, so K-State maintains a list of computer recommendations for each college or department. Before you start college, make sure your computer is compatible with K-State's recommendations and policies.
