Important dates for seniors and juniors
Are you on track for college? Here's a checklist to make sure you’re getting everything done in order to become a Wildcat.
Applications
Most applications take only a few minutes to complete, and you can find them all on a single webpage. You've got several applications to fill out:
• Admission: apply now
• Scholarships: apply by November 1 for K-State's premier scholarships
• Housing: apply if you plan to live in the residence halls
• Financial aid: apply for grants, loans, and work-study programs to help pay for college

Senior Days
Explore K-State's campus, learn about your academic interests, and find out about financial aid, scholarships, residence halls, sororities and fraternities, and more. Choose from six regional dates:
- Western Kansas: September 14
- Out of state: September 21
- Northeast Kansas: October 2
- Johnson County: October 26
- South central Kansas: November 9
- Southeast Kansas: November 16
Multicultural Pride Day
For high school students on October 23. Spend the day on campus and learn about college life, K-State style.
Junior Days
Two dates to choose from: September 29 and December 3. Check out majors that match your interests.
ACT Workshop
Take a practice ACT test and learn about how to do your best on the test. For sophomores and juniors in the spring.
Open House
Come check out all things K-State on April 24, with a day full of activities.
Orientation and enrollment
August 21 is the only remaining date to enroll for the fall 2009 semester. This is your chance to choose classes and learn the keys to college success. Only for admitted students.
A special day is set aside for transfer students: August 20.
Wildcat Warm-up
Juniors, watch for dates for next summer's Wildcat Warm-up. It gives you a head start on life as a K-Stater with a three-day stay on campus.
Key deadlines and important dates
November 1
Priority date for incoming freshmen to submit K-State's scholarship application for premier scholarships.
February 1
College and departmental scholarship deadline (if you’ve already filled out a scholarship application, it will be forwarded).
March 1
Priority deadline to apply for federal student aid. Use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (K-State's federal code for the FAFSA is 001928). If you have questions, contact your high school counselor or the K-State financial aid office, 1-877-817-2287.
April
Orientation and Enrollment and Wildcat Warm-up information will be sent. Be sure to RSVP.
Set up an eID once you’re admitted and have a K-State e-mail address.
The financial aid office will begin mailing financial award letters to those who met the March 1 deadline. Award letters will be mailed at a later date for those who did not meet the priority deadline. Remember to reply!
May
Changes to housing contracts must be received by Housing and Dining Services.
June 2
You should have made any requests to cancel housing contract for a full refund by this date.
Early July
Hall and roommate assignment letters for the residence halls will be mailed to your home.
August
Sorority recruitment. Information will be sent to you in the spring.

See you on campus
Your 2009 K-State experience begins on August 24 with the start of fall classes, and residence halls open August 22.
