Why K-State?
• A Big 12 education. You’ll study at an acclaimed university with name recognition. You can take advantage of all the offerings of a big-time school: lots of degree programs, outstanding research opportunities, vibrant campus life, nationally competitive sports teams, and more.
• Convenience. It’s only a 15-minute drive from Fort Riley to attend classes on campus. Or you can sign up for an online degree. You choose the option that works best with your schedule.
• Hundreds of degrees. You’ll find a degree that fits. K-State offers more than 250 undergraduate majors and options, and graduate students can choose from more than 100 master’s, doctoral, and certificate programs.
• Special tuition adjustment. Military personnel stationed on active duty in Kansas, their dependents, and members of the Kansas National Guard can attend classes at the in-state rate.

If you have had a previous military credit evaluation, these hours will not count in the 24-college-credit-hour rule.
If you earned a GED rather than a traditional high school diploma, follow the instructions for GED students.
If you have completed college-level work after high school, follow the instructions for transfer students.
If you previously attended K-State and are returning after a semester or more off, follow the instructions for returning students.

If you’ll be earning your degree or taking courses online, check out the degree options and fill out an information request form with the Division of Continuing Education.
Costs
K-State offers a tuition adjustment for military personnel stationed on active duty in Kansas, their dependents, and members of the Kansas National Guard. Instead of paying out-of-state tuition, you’ll pay the same price as Kansas students. That can save you around $10,000 per year at the undergraduate level.
