campus life: What's your mix?

Roller hockey club, $1 movies at the Union, and downtown pep rallies. Will Ferrell at Bramlage Coliseum, local bands in Aggieville, and ballet or jazz in McCain Auditorium.

At K-State you can customize your college life to fit your interests. You might raise money for charity, design a solar car, or lead your residence hall softball team to the championship. No matter what you do, you’re guaranteed to have fun and make friends for life.

So now it’s time to ask yourself one question: What’s your mix?

Clubs and organizations

Choose from more than 450 clubs and organizations ranging from honor societies to religious clubs, and from multicultural groups to fraternities and sororities. Whatever you’re into, you’ll find it in K-State’s assortment of clubs.

Service opportunities

Have a passion for helping people? K-State’s Volunteer Center can hook you up with the American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and other organizations. And joining a summer international service team can take you around the globe. Former groups have been to Mexico, Costa Rica, Botswana, Kenya, Russia, China, Brazil, Paraguay, and more.

Leadership

Great leaders start at K-State. With more than 50 fraternities and sororities, 450 clubs and organizations, and a range of student activities, landing a leadership role will get you noticed in no time.

Fraternities and sororities

Join a Greek organization to be part of a network of friends with a strong tradition in academics, leadership, and service.

Multicultural organizations

Celebrate cultures and treasured traditions—while building your leadership skills—when you join one of K-State’s multicultural groups. Or learn an ancient Japanese dance, eat some authentic Indian food, or listen to an African-American poet during the Festival of Nations.

Arts and culture

If you can’t afford world-famous, try the soon-to-be-famous! You can catch K-State theatre, dance, and music students in live performances, or see photography, sculpture, and paintings by K-State students and faculty in galleries throughout campus. To see professional work, attend a McCain Perfomance Series event or catch an exhibit at the Beach Museum of Art.

UFM Community Learning Center

Are you tired of taking boring biology classes? Are you sick of sociology lectures? Spice up your course schedule with an Italian cooking class. Or waltz your stress away with a ballroom dancing class. Take a UFM class for credit—or just for fun.

Spirit teams

Not athletic? That doesn’t mean you have to avoid the sports scene. Try out for the dance team, cheerleading squad, color guard, or marching band. If you’re really spirited, you could even be a baton twirler or K-State’s hero himself, Willie the Wildcat.

Religion at K-State

Every religion and faith is represented at K-State. Whether you’re looking for a course in the philosophy of religion or just looking for a place of worship, you can find it here.
