SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Want to get involved and help out? Service is a great way to meet people, have fun, and make a difference. Here's a sample of service activities at K-State:

  • Plan a charity fundraiser.
  • Coach a little league team.
  • Tutor grade-school children.
  • Stock shelves at the Flint Hills Breadbasket.
  • Serve Thanksgiving dinner to the needy.

Where to go to find service opportunities

Service is a part of the K-State experience, so you'll find opportunities with almost any club or organization you join. But here are some popular ways to get started.

K-State Volunteer Center
Part of the School of Leadership Studies, the volunteer center trains workers for service on campus, in the community, and abroad.

Local Manhattan agencies list their needs here.

Greek Affairs
Got a passion for service? Consider going Greek. K-State Greeks rack up 30,000 hours of service and raise about $200,000 for charity annually.
