New Student Orientation and enrollment
January 13 in the K-State Student Union
You are invited to orientation and enrollment for new students. This is your last opportunity to select courses for the spring semester.
Classes begin on January 14.
Plan to join us for this special day on the K-State campus. You will learn more about K-State, meet with an academic advisor, and be guided through the class selection process.
Activities start promptly at 8:30 a.m. in the K-State Student Union. The program may take until 5 p.m., so plan accordingly.
Before you come
Step 1: Register for the event

Step 2: Set up your eID
Before you can enroll in your courses, you must have an eID (electronic ID). This comprehensive computer ID will provide access to all your K-State electronic resources, including e-mail.
Step 3: Complete your admissions file
Have your college or high school send us your most recent transcript to complete your file. Not sure if your file is complete? Contact our office at 1-800-432-8270 (toll free) or 785-532-6250.
Step 4: Take the online math placement exam
If you plan to take a math course at K-State, you must complete the online exam before orientation.
The day’s activities
Check-in at 8:30 a.m.
Pick up the necessary enrollment materials and instructions. Have your ID picture taken. Be sure to bring a photo ID to pick up your new Wildcat ID card. You must arrive at 8:30 a.m. to take part in the day's activities.
Brief orientation
The program officially begins with an energetic welcome from Dr. Pat Bosco, vice president for student life and dean of students. Learn important information about K-State, including details about advising and course selection.
College information sessions
Get an overview of your academic college and assignment of advisors.
Appointments with advisors
Meet with your advisor to review previous academic records and select courses for the spring. Your appointment time will be set after the 8:30 a.m. check-in.
Spring course assignments
Collect a printout of your schedule specifying courses, days, times, etc.
Tuition and fee payment
You will be billed electronically mid-January for your tuition and fees, athletic tickets, and parking permits (if ordered).

Part-time undergraduates
If you are taking 6 credit hours or less, you are not required to attend this program. You must contact your college dean’s office to visit with an advisor prior to enrolling. You will not be able to enroll until you have contacted your advisor.

Parking
Your parking permit is attached to the new student orientation and enrollment invitation that you will receive in the mail. Bring the permit with you, and place it on the dash of your vehicle when you arrive.
You may park in the parking garage south of the K-State Student Union. The preferred entrance is located on 17th Street north of Anderson Avenue. A parking attendant will direct you. The permit will also allow you to park in designated areas (lots W, O, T, or Z).
