Transfer Student Orientation and enrollment

August 20 in the K-State Student Union

Don't miss orientation and enrollment for admitted transfer students. This is your last opportunity to select your fall courses.

Not only will you learn more about K-State, you'll also meet with an academic advisor and go through the class selection process. You can even take care of essentials like buying textbooks and athletic tickets.

Activities start promptly at 8 a.m. in the K-State Student Union. The program may take until 5 p.m., so plan accordingly.

Before you come

Step 1: Register for the event

This event is free.

Step 2: Set up your eID

Before you can enroll in your courses, you must have an eID (electronic ID). This comprehensive computer ID will provide access to all your K-State electronic resources, including e-mail.

Step 3: Take the online math placement exam

If you plan to take a math course during your time at
K-State, you must complete our online exam before
attending orientation.

Step 4: Complete your admissions file

Have your college send us your most recent transcript.

The day’s activities

Formal check-in at 8 a.m.

Pick up enrollment materials and instructions. Have your ID picture taken. Be sure to bring a photo ID to pick up your new Wildcat ID card.

Brief orientation

The program officially begins with an energetic welcome from Dr. Pat Bosco, vice president for student life/dean of students. Important information about K-State, including details about course selection, will be shared.

College information sessions

Get an overview of your academic college and assignment of advisors.

Appointments with advisors

Meet with your advisor to review previous academic records and select courses.

Fall course assignments

Collect a printout of your schedule specifying courses, days, times, etc.

Tuition payment

You'll be billed by e-mail in September for your tuition and fees, books, and athletic tickets.

• Drop by information sessions for pre-law students.

Part-time undergraduates

If you are taking 6 credit hours or less, you are not required to attend this program. You must contact your college dean’s office to visit with an advisor before enrolling. You will not be able to enroll until you have contacted your advisor.

Parking

The postcard you receive in the mail will serve as your parking permit, so follow the instructions listed on it.

Be sure to place it on the dashboard when you park your vehicle.
