WHY GET AN INTERNSHIP?

If you want to pump up your resume for a post-college career, there's no better way than through internships. K-State students have interned everywhere from IBM to Entertainment Weekly.

Internships are a perfect way to try out a career, witness professionals in action, and see how you measure up to the demands of the working world.

Studying nutrition or medicine? You could work for a summer as a nutrition assistant on food stamps programs around Kansas. Is engineering your thing? You might intern with the firm that constructed an expansion at Caesar’s Palace Casino in Las Vegas. Looking for an outdoor adventure? Get an internship mapping the topography of coral reefs or working with a wind energy firm.

No matter what major you choose, you can find internships that appeal to your career interests, whether it's making a secret new cookie for Nabisco, investigating archaeological finds at historic sites around the country, or running PR events for the VIP fan club at Kansas City Chiefs games.

Internship journals

Have you always wanted to intern for the police department in your town? Are you curious about international internships? Would you like to spend a summer with a professional sports team? K-State students do lots of interesting internships.
