Hail to the chef

You’ve studied each residence hall, considered the room options, and started planning what to bring for your room. Now comes the big question that’s really weighing on your mind (and tummy): How’s the food?

Here’s what hall dining centers have to offer:

Multiple meal plans

You’ve got options for 10, 15, or 20 meals per week. Most people choose the 20-meal plan because, for just $40 above the 15-meal option, you’ll never go hungry. Even if you miss occasional meals for a meeting, a date, or a road trip, it’s still the smartest buy. If you live in Jardine Apartments and cooking isn't your thing, you can purchase a meal plan.

Lots of choices

You’ll always have several entrée choices, plus side dishes, soups, salads, fruit, ice cream, beverages, and desserts. K-State never repeats the same combo of food selections.

Options to fit your lifestyle

Super busy (or just late for class)? Choose a grab-and-go option from the Dashers line. Got special nutritional needs? Registered dietitians can help you select the menu items that will work for you. Sick? Order a take-out meal that your roomie can pick up for you. That’s almost as good as the care you’d get from Mom!

Quality ingredients

K-State uses the brands you grew up with, plus local foods like Kansas flour and K-State-produced meats, milk, and ice cream.

Special events that add variety

Savor the flavors of the Chinese New Year celebration, Fabulous 50s burger and malt night, gourmet quesadilla cook-off, spicy Jamaican Carnival, and other award-winning menus. This month's special event, Campfire Creations, makes you feel like you're sleeping under the stars with food such as baked beans, corn, sweet potatoes, s'mores, and more.
