yes, you can still gEt FINANCIAL AID

Don’t let the recession fill your worry list.

We understand finding money for college is a growing concern in this tight economy, and we have good news: K-State is here to lend a hand.

K-State offers financial aid and counseling services for students wondering how to pay for college. We encourage all students to apply for financial aid, and students should never assume they don’t qualify.

We award $180 million each academic year to students, and about 70 percent of K-Staters receive some type of financial assistance through scholarships, grants, loans, or work-study programs.

Students are assigned a financial aid advisor for support throughout the year. If money becomes tighter—a parent loses a job, for instance—advisors will help you reapply for additional financial aid.

March 1 was merely a priority deadline, so you can still fill out the FAFSA (free application for federal student aid).
