Events schedule
K-State Libraries
Hale Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Library services
Librarians will explain specialized undergraduate services that include expert librarians for every major. Look at our list of library and research skill classes, try our online ask-a-librarian service, and learn how the libraries play a critical role in student success.
Give technology a spin
Try out technology added to help you study. Our collaboration stations make group work a snap on giant screens. Scanning books and articles means you never need to make another paper photocopy again. Self-check stations allow you to check out materials without waiting.
Like Google but better
Our electronic collections work for you just like Google—but better. Our licensed research databases take you to trustworthy sources you need for papers and projects. Our 50,000 electronic journals cover any topic, and our extensive e-book collection means you always have something to read.
More than serious studies
Take a turn on Guitar Hero or Wii Sports, and find out why many libraries today have gaming systems. Have your photo taken in our historic K-State sports cutouts. Learn about events like caffeine fix, offered to get students through busy times.
See the sights
While you’re in Hale, walk around to see the sights. Visit the historic Great Room to see murals. Try out movable shelving, visit the café, browse reading collections, and check out an exhibit that details the history of K-State Libraries.
