Don't miss K-State’s orientation and enrollment. This is your chance to choose your classes, learn the keys to college success, and more. Registration will open in late May 2010. The dates are listed below:

New freshmen

  • June 22, 23, 24, 25

Orientation and enrollment is only for students who have been admitted to K-State.

Wildcat Warm-up

Watch for your invitation to this exclusive introduction to K-State. The June 11 and June 18 orientation programs are reserved for Wildcat Warm-up participants. These are three-day enhanced programs from June 11-13 and June 18-20, where you'll connect with other new students, meet current students and staff, and learn K-State traditions.

Worried about coming to college? Wondering what it will be like? Ready to choose your classes? Want to hit the ground running? 

We'll take the worry away and ease your mind at orientation and enrollment. We've planned a day with activities and presentations to get you ready for college.

What you'll do

You'll get your official schedule when you get here, but here's a sample of what your day will be like. 

  • Arrive at K-State Student Union at 8 a.m.
  • Get your ID picture taken.
  • Check in for a time to meet with your advisor.
  • Talk with students in your specific college.
  • Meet with an academic advisor.
  • Enroll in classes.
  • Order athletic tickets.

What your family members will do

Going to college doesn't mean you're cut off from your family and friends. Because college requires a partnership between you, your family, and the university, we encourage family members to attend orientation and enrollment with you.

What to do in advance

Respond to your orientation invitation

After you've been admitted you'll receive information about orientation and enrollment.
If you don't receive orientation information, call K-State's Office of Admissions at 1-800-432-8270 (toll free) or 785-532-6250. 

Register for your eID

You must have your eID before you come to campus to enroll.

Take the math placement exam

All new K-State students are required to take the online math placement exam before attending orientation and enrollment. You will need your eID and password to log in to the website.

Part-time undergraduates

If you are enrolling in 6 credit hours or less you are not required to attend this program. You must contact your college dean’s office to visit with an advisor to enroll. You will not be able to enroll until you have contacted your advisor.

Parking

The West Stadium lot across Denison Avenue from the old football stadium, just north of St. Isidore's Catholic Church at the corner of Anderson and Denison, will be available for parking on these days. The K-State Student Union is a short walk away. The lot is labeled D1.
