Get to Know the Campus

The best way to avoid getting lost on your first day of class is to get to know campus beforehand.

Certain buildings are unavoidable. Get enrolled in Anderson Hall, grab some grub in the Union, break out the books in the library, see a show at McCain, and crash after a long day in your residence hall room.

Hale Library

Hale Library, the largest building on campus, is a place you’ll get to know sooner or later. (If you don’t want to flunk out, we recommend sooner.) You can’t miss the gothic-style architecture and the medieval-looking metal sunflower entrance.

K-State Student Union

This hot spot for K-State students is located at the south end of campus. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat, shop in the bookstore, and take in the latest showing in the art gallery.

Anderson Hall

Do you have questions about the admissions process? Do you need to pay your tuition bill? You can get them both done in Anderson Hall. Anderson is home to the Office of Admissions and the Cashier’s Office. You might even get to see the president of K-State passing through the halls.

McCain Auditorium

If you like the arts, McCain Auditorium will become a second home for you. It hosts performances by traveling companies and shows like Rent and Cats. McCain also houses most of the theater and dance productions put on by K-State, as well as the Landon lectures.

Residence halls

The residence halls are your home away from home. With nine halls to choose from, you can live in a co-ed, men’s, or women’s hall. They are a great place to make new friends, get involved with campus, and relax after a long day.
