Learn how to cope with an F

Sooner or later, you will bomb. Let’s just hope it’s only a pop quiz.

Relax

It might seem like the end of the world, but it’s not. Take a deep breath and relax. Acting like a drama queen won’t help you improve your grade, even if you are a theatre major.

Do the math

Ask your professor how much the big F will damage your grade. Then ask how you can do better. If the professor gives you extra credit assignments, do them.

Repeat after me: I hereby solemnly swear to keep up with my assignments

Most people who earn F’s aren’t stupid—they just don’t try very hard. If you are assigned a chapter, read it. If you are assigned a paper, don’t start writing it the night before it’s due.
