Your community

Involved in the community? Big on service? Active in church? Your community is a great place to turn for financial assistance. Many churches and community centers offer scholarships to active students.

Your parents

Many companies offer scholarships to children of their employees. Make sure to have your parents check to see if their employers fit the bill. As with many scholarship applications, be prepared to write an essay explaining why you’re the most deserving candidate.

Online scholarship searches

K-State recommends a few scholarship search Web sites. You can browse for free, but be prepared to pay a fee to use some of the services offered. Some scholarship searches are scams, so stick with our recommended sites to avoid being misled.
